Essentially some money-hungry fuckups in Washington are trying to get rid of the creative copyright clause that's been in state since 1976, saying that creative endevours are automatically copyrighted the moment they are concieved. Now it says that artist who don't register and pay up the ass, for EACH individual work, have no rights and that artwork becomes free properly. Free property to for companies to make money off of without giving you jack shit.
Oh, and here's a funny number for AI students. Guess what large art-companies are supporting this? Both Corbis and Getty Images.
People online are freaking out about this bill getting passed. Honestly, I don't think it's gonna happen, chances are really really slim. However. If it does I would honestly reconsider moving overseas.
